Electoral College, keep it or not?

You have to understand the reason that the EC was proposed to keep the large population states from dominating the federal government. If removed you would almost destroy any chance of small population states from participating. The writers of the Constitution got this one correct. Remember the United States are (not is) a union of independent states.
