My 3 year old son doesn't want to grow up?

He just turned 3. My wife and I make a rule that when you turn 3 you have to give up you pacifier. He didn't go to well with that. He still uses it. My wife babys him a lot. I think she does it because he is that only boy out of 4 kids. My wife is only 19 she is still young. Our son Drake wont sleep in his own bed, he cries until he gets his own way, and it's mostly Ashlynn (my wife) that gives in on him crying and gives him what he wants. I have been trying to tell her to let him sit there and cry, he has to learn that the world doesn't revolve around Drake. Is it because im 24, and im older than she is? Please help me.
