Plzzz help? Which of the following sentences most effectively concludes a book report?

Both are good sentences that sum up the idea that this is a worthwhile book. Personally, I prefer the second, simply because the first sentence feels a bit abrupt. However, if the metaphor of the banquet is more fitting for the subject matter of the book, I would definitely go with that one.
