My son is sick, and I don't know what to do....?

he has not been sick since he was 3...he is 8 now. I'm serious. He suffered from chronic bronchitis and ear infections when he was younger until he had his tonsils and adenoids taken out. Since then he has woke up a few times with a stuffy nose but was fine by mid day. This morning he had a completely runny nose with a cough that just sounded like it hurt real bad. I gave him some cold medicine we had and let him take it real easy all day long. I made him his favorite dinner and he barely touched it, and wanted to take a bath at 7:30 tonight. I gave him some more meds before bed at 8:15 and I've been checking on him every 20 minutes. He rarely complains of not feeling well or being in pain so today I'm just at a loss for what to do. His fever is at 99.5, he has a dry cough, and a stuffy nose. The meds I'm giving him are for all of those symptoms. I'm keeping him away from dairy and making sure he's covered and warm. I didn't think of it until just a few minutes ago but, is the H1N1 still going around? Is he showing some of the symptoms? I just feel like I'm not doing something I should be.
