Ppl who live in new york or m or up north???

do you get more hours of daylight now?? i was watching tv last nite and i heard that alaska has like 20 hours of daylight...hmmmm.. i live in californiawould the northern cities and states like oregon and washington have longer hours of they day..it gets dark around 8:15 in june (the longest part of the year) what about you new yorkers and ppl way up north??
