What happened to Eric (the drummer) from the virgins?

I saw them when they toured with Jet (Jet being my fav. band) and I loved Eric he was on their myspace and everything, so it's not like he was just a stand in drummer you know? Even on wikipedia they say that the band was originally a trio......and well it wasn't! Please Please Please help!
