Hey i need a recoder?

hey i need some freeware so i can recode a video file that uses a IV50 codec for some odd reason my computer is only picking up the videos audio and a black screen ive tryed downloading the codec like 10times and nothing so if anyone knows anything i can recode it with it would be much appreciated
