If you have a Virgin Mobile PAy As You Go phone, can u buy a new pay as you go phone, but keep your old number

I have a Virgin Mobile pay as you go phone. It is a " Kio Royale". I want to get the new Oystr pay as you go phone. Can i switch and get the new Oyster phone but keep my old number that I got on my Kio Royale phone? Please help me ya'll because I really want my new phone!!!!
