Do colleges lose money when students drop out?

I always do my research on professors before I sign up for their cles. Students hear from other students which professors are great. Those professors' cles fill up quickly. I get stoked on the first day of cl because I'm thinking I'm taking a cl with a certain teacher. Instead I get a different teacher and that teacher is straight up a bit*h. Many students want to drop out but they can't and are stuck with the lousy teacher. That teacher straight up said she knows she's not the teacher everyone was expecting and if we want we could drop out and find another cl even though they were already full. She said the school made the changes two weeks before school started. I feel that the school planned this to trick students to sign up for cles because no one would sign up with the bitc*y teacher. I have this happened to me twice. Do colleges lose money if there aren't enough students to sign up for classes? Do you think my school did this on purpose?
