Ultrasound question....?

I had a l ultrasound and everyone is telling me different things. Can you or can you not hear your own heartbeat during a l ultrasound? I know you can on other types but I need to know about the kind where they stick the probe up your . Some people are saying you can, and some are saying you can only hear your baby's. So I should've heard 2 heartbeats then right? Please someone just answer and know what you're talking about.
